Waitex Group was founded in New York City, USA in 1981 by Chairman and CEO, Mr. Howard Li. The group has prospered over a span of 39 years into a successful enterprise. The group’s scope of business includes global logistics, supply chain services, real estate property investment, and management, import and export trading, retail chains, fashion design, production, wholesale.
The group's USA office is located at the heart of New York City, Manhattan at 135 36th Street. In the US, the group owns modern logistic centers in New Jersey and California with total building space of millions millions square feet. The group has near 1,000 employees in the United States who are responsible for processing more than USD 5 billion of goods annually for more than 500 well-known brands and clients.
Waitex Group was ranked by Crain’s Business Magazine as one of the top 200 largest, privately held companies in the greater New York area. Mr. Howard Li was also selected by Forbes Asia as one of 25 most influential Chinese Americans in US business. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed Mr. Li to the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Mr. Li previously served as an Advisory Council member of the New York State Retirement Systems and was a director of the United Way of New York City, currently, he is Committee of 100 - U.S.A. Greater China region Chair and regularly participates in social activities of a dozen more non-profit organizations.
